Direct Admissions Criteria for Other International Curriculums

Students from other international systems curriculum can take any of the above listed system entrance exams and submit documents that prove that they finished their high schools (12 years of study) in their home countries and have their high school documents’ evaluation completed in the Saudi Ministry of Education. Students will be evaluated based on their high school performance and interviews by perspective colleges. Students must also meet any of the English requirements as specified above.


Transfer

Applicants seeking transfer admission to Alfaisal University must ensure that all required documents and criteria are fulfilled. Incomplete submissions may delay or prevent the transfer process. Please review the checklist carefully.

Academic Eligibility
  1. The applicant must have studied at a recognized university or college for at least two semesters or completed a minimum of 30 credit hours.
  2. Meet the College-specific admissions criteria of the program you are applying to.
Transcript Submission
  1. Submit original transcripts from all previously attended institutions.
  2. Minimum GPA requirements:
    • All colleges: 2.0/4.0 or 3.0/5.0
    • College of Medicine: 3.5/4.0 or 4.5/5.0
    • College of Pharmacy: 2.5/4.0 or 3.5/5.0
Credit Transfer Requirements
  1. Courses must have been completed at universities recognized by the Saudi Ministry of Education or officially recognized by the Ministry of Education in the respective country.
  2. Courses completed at fully online universities are not acceptable for transfer consideration.
  3. Maximum credit hours transferable cannot exceed 40% of the total program credit hours.
  4. Courses taken online or on a pass/fail basis are generally not eligible for transfer, except courses completed during the COVID-19 pandemic period (subject to college approval).
  5. Courses taken simultaneously while enrolled at Alfaisal University are not eligible for transfer.
  6. Credit transfer must be approved by the prospective college at Alfaisal University.
  7. Only courses completed with a grade of C or better (or its equivalent) will be considered.
  8. For the College of Medicine and College of Pharmacy, only courses completed with a grade of B or better (or its equivalent) will be considered.
College of Medicine Specific Requirements
  1. Courses must be from other accredited Colleges of Medicine.
  2. Only first- and second-year level courses are eligible for transfer consideration.
  3. All courses must adhere to the Alfaisal University Transfer Policy.

Admissions Criteria

Alfaisal University welcomes visiting students for a maximum of two consecutive semesters. To apply as a visiting student, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Completion of a minimum of 30 credit hours at a recognized college or university.
  2. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 out of 4.0 or 3.0 out of 5.0.
  3. Proof of English language proficiency.
  4. Submission of official academic transcripts.
  5. Advance payment of full tuition fees.
  6. For non-Saudi students: a valid Iqama and health insurance.

International

If you are applying to Alfaisal University and you currently do not reside in the Kingdom, you must meet the following requirements for the University to issue your Student Visa:


Admission Requirements

Non-Degree Students

A Non-Degree Student is an undergraduate student who enrolls in credit-bearing courses without seeking a baccalaureate degree. Enrollment in this status does not constitute admission into a degree program.


Admissions Requirements

Applicants must submit the following:

  1. Payment of the application fee.
  2. Advance payment of full tuition fees.
  3. Proof of English Language Proficiency.
  4. Official High School Transcript.
  5. Official standardized test scores such as Qudrat, Tahsili, SAT, ACT, IB, IGCSE, etc.
  6. Official College Transcript (if the applicant has completed college coursework or holds a college degree).
  7. Evidence that all intended courses’ pre-requisites have been satisfied.
  8. For Non-Saudi applicants, a valid Iqama and proof of health insurance are required.

Registration Regulations
  1. Non-degree students register for courses on a space-available basis.
  2. Degree-seeking students are given priority registration.
  3. Students must satisfy all course pre-requisites prior to enrollment.
  4. Registration may require approval from the relevant academic department or college.
  5. Non-degree students are not eligible for financial aid.

Credit Hour Limitations
  1. A maximum of 15 credit hours may be completed under non-degree status.
  2. Registration limits per semester:
    • Fall or Spring Semester: Maximum of 12 credit hours
    • Summer Semester: Maximum of 6 credit hours
  3. The total cumulative credit hours completed as a non-degree student may not exceed 15 credit hours across all semesters.

Non-degree status is permitted for a maximum of two consecutive semesters.


Additional Notes
  1. Admission as a non-degree student does not guarantee future admission into a degree program.
  2. Courses completed under non-degree status may be considered for transfer toward a degree program, subject to University policies and departmental approval.
